Jefferson County Chapter

Join our network of 50 women invested in empowering nonprofits and improving their communities. No committees, no fundraising, no event planning, no silent auction, but in the span of one hour, $2,500 is raised for a local charity.

The annual commitment is $200.00 with payments of $50.00 per meeting.

It’s time again for yet another virtual Community Purse meeting. Please mark your calendars for Thursday, February 18th from 7:00 pm-8:00 pm.

Grab the beverage of your choice and join in!

We’ll hear 10 -15 minute presentations from:

  • Pam Carper, Director of Big Brothers, Big Sisters
  • Yvonne Duessterhoeft with the Jefferson County Veterans Foundation

We will be able to do one grant of $500.00 from our reserves in addition to our quarterly member grant to the selected charity.

During the last 12 months, Community Purse has granted
over $9,500.00 to 12 our of nominated charities.

While our virtual attendance hasn’t been as robust as our in-person meetings, we have had great conversations and gained insights into how Covid has impacted the individuals in our community.

Any member may nominate a charity in Jefferson County that serves the
under-resourced and is a designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
